If you want to print an empty recipe card template that you can fill out in your own handwriting then just choose the recipe card template that you want to make and delete all of the text on it. To delete text just click on the text and a little x will appear on the bottom right corner. Click on the x and the text will disappear.

Why use recipe cards?

These printable cards will help you keep organized and ensure that you never forget a recipe. You can include a picture of the final product so you can remember exactly how it turned out. I hate it when I finally cook something that my kids loved and then when they ask me to make it again I don’t remember how I made it.

How to use the recipe cards?

Upload a picture and type the recipe name, ingredients and method and then print. Cut out the recipe card. If you want to keep it forever then we suggest that you have the card laminated. You can put a few recipe cards in a lamination sheet. This will ensure that the recipe is not destroyed in the kitchen. If you cannot laminate the card then try and print it on a laser printer rather than an ink jet printer since the ink tends to run when wet.

Once you have created a few recipes cards put them in a recipe box and never forget another recipe again!

Toy Bin Labels

Labels for Toy Bins

Getting your kids to tidy up after themselves is no easy task at any age. It’s even more difficult when kids are younger since they often don’t even know where to put their toys. You can develop a storage system for older kids but when a child can’t yet read, a labeling system will not help organize her toys. If she doesn’t know where to put a toy then it will be difficult to keep organized. We have created the perfect custom toy bin labels for children who can’t read. There is a picture of the object that belongs in each toy bin or drawer so that even if your child can’t read he will still know where to store the toy.

Toy Labels

The toy labels above have pictures to store basic items such as cars and building blocks but you can use our label maker create your own custom labels with pictures of your child’s toys. You are free to use these printable labels at home, in kindergarten or play school.

label maker

In order to ensure that this organization system works for your child, we suggest that you start by organizing all of your child’s toys to ensure that each toy has a specific place.

Once you know where everything goes, make a list of labels that you will require.

If you want to use a photo of your child’s toys then take a photo of each toy or each group of toys. For example, you can take a photo of one superhero or of a bunch of superheroes together.

How to make custom labels to store toys

  1. Open the label maker and upload your photos. If you can’t be bothered to take photos of your child’s toys then just use our ready-made printable labels for toy bins.
  2. Print out a sheet of labels on regular computer paper (adhere with paper glue) or use label paper.
  3. Cut out each label.
  4. Adhere to toy bins or drawers.

Should you expect your kids to tidy their toys when they are very young?

Absolutely, yes! When kids are very young they start forming habits. If kids get used to their mom or dad tidying up after them then it is going to be difficult to change that habit in the future. If you teach your child to take out one toy at a time only and return it before moving on to the next toy then you will save yourself hours of nagging, yelling and tidying in the future. Hopefully, these labels will make the job a little easier and save you a lot of time in the long run!

Garden Markers

Free colorful garden markers that can be customized. Add color to your garden and never forget what’s growing!

How to make garden markers?

  1. Choose the design that you want to use from the 10 designs below.
  2. Click to open the label maker.
  3. Type your text.
  4. Once you have cut out each printable label insert it into a laminating pouch and spread them out so that there is adequate space between each label. Cut around each label. We do not recommend inserting the entire printable sheet of labels into the laminating pouch and then cutting out each label. If you create them in this manner it will be easier for water to penetrate and ruin the label.
  5. If you want to keep notes on the back of each label you can either write on the back of the label or create an additional label on which you can print your notes. Once you have cut out the back and front of the label then put them back to back and insert them into the laminating pouch. The front of the label will name the herb, fruit, vegetable or flower and the back will record any specific details that you need to remember when growing that particular plant.
  6. Once you have laminated the labels cut each label out ensuring that you have a border around the label. This will ensure that the label is waterproof. You can also print the custom labels on waterproof label paper which will provide additional protection against moisture.
  7. Adhere an ice cream stick or any other stick to the back of each label.
  8. These gardening markers will not only remind you what is growing but will add color to any garden or plant box. They are particularly helpful when growing plants from seeds since you might find that you forget what you planted.

How to make printable vegetable garden markers?

I created these custom labels with my kids. I allocated a small part of the garden for each child and took them to the nursery. Each child chose seeds and/or plants and created a vegetable patch with some flowers. They printed the garden markers and cut them out by themselves. We then laminated the labels and they stuck an ice cream stick on the back of each label.

I also bought them some unique vegetable seeds for vegetables that you don’t see every day such as purple corn, purple tomatoes, yellow carrots, and many other strange vegetables. I bought the seeds online on eBay. It was a fun project and eventually, we even ate the vegetables that they grew. They were so proud!

The problem with printable labels is that they tend to get ruined during winter when they get wet in the rain. You can create waterproof garden markers you just need to use waterproof label sheets and/or laminate the custom labels before you use them.

You can always replace the labels at the end of winter. Since they are free and cost practically nothing to create, it isn’t such a big deal if you land up replacing some of them.

I often plant seedlings and then forget what I planted. I made these plant labels to keep track of what I am growing at least until the plants are big enough to be recognizable.

How to make herb labels?

  1. Choose the design that you want to use. In addition to the custom labels below you will also find plant labels that are all specifically designed for the garden on this site.
  2. We recommend using waterproof label paper to create plant labels as this will prevent the labels from being ruined by the rain and/or watering system. I used regular laminated paper to create my plant markers and they lasted as long as the plants did so it is possible if you laminate them.
  3. Print out an empty sheet of labels and cut out each label. Use the blank sheets to write notes about that particular plant. For example, should it be in the shade, how much water should it receive, when can you expect fruit, etc. Then take one label with the name of the vegetable and put it back to back with the blank sheet with info regarding that particular vegetable.
  4. Insert the double sided label into a laminating pouch.
  5. Repeat the previous two stages for each vegetable.
  6. Arrange the labels in the laminating pouch ensuring that there is space between each label.
